About uPVC windows

Premium uPVC, fitted by your own team.

uPVC remains the most popular window material across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire — and for good reason. Modern uPVC achieves thermal performance that rivals aluminium, lasts 25–30 years with virtually no maintenance, and now comes with flush-sash detailing that’s genuinely indistinguishable from timber at close range. We fit two ranges: the premium Residence Collection for projects where the timber look matters, and our standard uPVC casement range for everything else. Both A-rated, both backed by our 10-year insurance-backed installation guarantee.

A-rated as standard

Argon-filled, low-emissivity double glazing as standard. Triple glazing available where the project demands the warmest year-round thermal performance.

Flush-sash & classic casement

Specify the premium Residence Collection flush-sash, or our standard uPVC casement range. Both built by the UK’s leading uPVC fabricators.

Secured by Design

Multi-point locking espagnolette mechanisms, internally glazed sealed units, reinforced steel within every profile.

Virtually maintenance-free

No painting, no staining, no rot, no warping. A wipe with soapy water keeps every frame looking new for 25-30 years.

Common questions

What homeowners ask us about uPVC windows

Residence Collection or standard uPVC?

It depends on the property. Residence Collection is a premium flush-sash system that replicates the look of timber sashes — the right choice for period homes, listed buildings and conservation areas. Our standard uPVC casement range is the right choice for modern properties, rear elevations or budget-led specs. Both on display in the showroom; we’ll recommend the right one at survey, no upsell pressure.

How much do uPVC windows cost?

A standard A-rated uPVC casement typically runs £450–£700 per window fitted, depending on size. The Residence Collection sits higher at £950–£1,500 per window for the heritage flush-sash. A full house of windows for a typical 3-bed semi falls between £4,500 and £14,000 fitted, FENSA-registered, with our 10-year guarantee.

Are Residence windows approved for conservation areas?

Yes. The heritage Residence profile was designed around conservation area guidelines. We’ve fitted them on conservation properties across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire. Talk to us before submitting a planning application — we’ll advise on the right spec and provide manufacturer letters where needed.

How long do they last?

A high-quality uPVC window is designed for 25–30 years or more — durable, weather-resistant, won’t fade or discolour. Sealed units carry manufacturer guarantees of 10–20 years. Our installation comes with a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee covering both product and workmanship.

Can I have woodgrain finishes?

Yes — both ranges offer realistic woodgrain foil finishes including English Oak, Silvered Oak, Golden Oak, Irish Oak and Rosewood. Residence Collection in English Oak with a flush-sash profile is genuinely difficult to tell from authentic timber at close range. Dual-colour inside and out at no extra cost.

How long does installation take?

Most single window swaps take a day. A full house typically 2–3 days depending on access. Our own fitters do every job — no subcontractors — and you get your FENSA certificate logged with the council.

Double or triple glazing?

Double glazing with argon filling and low-emissivity coatings is standard on every window we fit, achieving an A rating and easily meeting Building Regulations. Triple glazing is available as an upgrade — worth it for exposed locations, busy roads, or where you want the warmest year-round performance.

March 2026

We highly recommend Custom Choice Home Improvements. We recently had seven windows and one door replaced, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. From our initial contact, Tariq's communication was clear and consistent.

In total we had 8 windows, a front door and French doors fitted. The Custom Choice team came round, took measurements and then sat down with us to show us the full selection of windows and doors. Tony, the person who came round, was fantastic.
