Hampton’s developer windows were never meant to be the last word. Misted units, dropped hinges and a white uPVC that already looks dated are the starting point. Anthracite casement or a named aluminium system is what they get replaced with.
Hampton is the southern new-town — Hargate, Vale, Leys and the streets around Serpentine Green — built from the late 1990s onwards on the brick pits. The houses are younger than Bretton or Werrington, but builder-specified windows and a standard white panel door were never meant to be the last word. Plenty of units have already misted; plenty of doors have already dropped.
The architectural style here is more contemporary, so aluminium casements and slim bifolds are a larger share of the work than in the older townships. Anthracite and other dark greys are the usual request.
