FENSA registered · own fitting teams
Fitted by our team.
Every time.
We never use subcontractors. Every window and door we install is fitted by a directly-employed, FENSA-registered member of the Custom Choice team — someone who knows our standards and is accountable to us.
Why It Matters
The fitting is half the product
An A-rated window fitted badly — with poor sealing, misaligned sashes, or inadequate fixings — will perform like a C-rated window within a year. The best product in the world is only as good as the installation it sits in.
That's why we've never used subcontractors. Our fitters are trained by us, work to our standards, and are accountable to us. When something needs attention after fitting, the person you call is the same company that installed it.
Direct employment
Every fitter is on our payroll. Their standards reflect directly on us.
FENSA registration
Legally obligated to meet Building Regulations on every installation.
One point of contact
Survey, supply, and fit — one company, one responsibility.

The Process
From first call to final handover
Here's exactly what happens when you choose Custom Choice — no surprises, no ambiguity.
Free Home Survey
One of our senior team visits your home to measure accurately, assess the existing frames, and discuss your preferences in detail. This isn't a sales visit — it's a technical survey. We'll note structural considerations, discuss colour and hardware options, and answer every question you have.
Typically 45–60 minutes. No obligation.
Written Quote
Within 48 hours you'll receive a detailed written quote — line by line, product by product. Every item is specified so you know exactly what you're getting. No headline price followed by hidden additions. No expiry pressure.
Itemised breakdown. Valid at your convenience.
Product Order & Manufacture
Once you're happy to proceed, we place your order directly with the manufacturer. Your windows and doors are made to measure, to your specified colour and hardware. We'll confirm a fitting date and keep you updated if lead times change.
Typical lead time: 4–6 weeks from order.
Installation Day
Our fitting team arrives on time, removes your old frames cleanly, and fits your new windows or doors to the highest standard. We work methodically, protect your home, and don't leave until the job is finished properly — including clearing all waste.
Single windows: half a day. Full house: 2–3 days.
Handover & Paperwork
On completion, we walk you through your new installation — operating mechanisms, hardware, cleaning requirements. You receive your FENSA certificate (where applicable), guarantee documentation, and contact details for any aftercare questions.
FENSA certificate issued within 28 days.
Accreditations & Certifications
Verified by independent bodies
FENSA Registered
FENSA (Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme) allows competent installers to self-certify that window and door replacements comply with Building Regulations Part L (energy) and Part N (safety glazing) without requiring a building inspector to visit. As a FENSA-registered company, every qualifying installation we carry out is automatically registered with FENSA and you receive a certificate — important when you come to sell your home.
