How we got here
Custom Choice started in 2016. A family business from day one — and ten years on, still run by the same family. The idea was simple: source the best products from British and European manufacturers, employ your own fitting teams, and charge what’s fair.
A decade on, that approach hasn’t changed. We still quote by hand after a proper survey, not from a price list. We still employ every fitter directly — they’re FENSA registered, and they work for us, not an agency. And the family still runs the business day-to-day. When you ring the office, there’s a decent chance you’ll get one of them.
We’ve fitted over 2,000 windows, doors, conservatories and full-home refurbishments across Peterborough, Huntingdon, Stamford, Spalding, Cambridge and the surrounding Fens. The Fengate showroom has working displays of everything we install — the door handles turn, the windows tilt, the bifolds glide. We’d rather you came and kicked the tyres than took our word for it.

Every installer on our vans is on the Custom Choice payroll — not an agency, not a subbie chasing the next house. They've been with us for years. They know the brands, they know the spec, and they sign the job off in person with you at the end.
No salespeople
The person who quotes your job is either the family or a senior team member — never a commissioned salesperson. No pressure to upspec. No price-padding. We charge what's fair and itemise everything if you want to compare.
No mystery brands
We're approved installers for Comp Door, Residence Collection, Rose Collection, Cortizo, Schüco, Origin and Smart Architectural Aluminium. Every product is named, branded, and matched to the property — never a generic factory window with our sticker on it.
No deposit until you’re happy
FENSA registered, insurance-backed 10-year installation guarantee on every job. No deposit required until you've seen the survey, agreed the spec and the date is in writing. If something's not right, you've got us on speed-dial — we're in Peterborough, not a call centre.

Until now we’d been quoting from photos and product brochures. The showroom on Prospect Place opens — working displays of every door, window and bifold we install.
Still family-run, still no subcontractors, still on the same Fengate site. Tariq is on most installs personally. The brand is bigger but the business hasn’t changed.
